CPN Tools fundamentally works with unbounded canvases, which are always annoying to use together with scroll bars. Making the two work together (which I’ve never been able to so far and haven’t heard of anybody who has – try scrolling in an Excell document) or changing CPN Tools to have finite or expanding canvas would be a huge pain.
Furthermore, CPN Tools uses an experimental and self-developed widget toolkit (it was the child of a GUI research project as well as a CPN research project). This means I’d have to implement the scroll-bars from scratch.
