Much of this information is internal documentation. Care has not been made to make links work and make the documentation conprehensible for outsiders.
The purpose of these pages are to eventually provide an overview of new features for future version of CPN/Tools. New features should be described in the form of detailed use scenarios.
Brief proposals for new features can be found on the Features list (http://www.daimi.au.dk/~cpntools/bin/bugs/featuresshort.php shorter view). These lists are subsets of the http://www.daimi.au.dk/~cpntools/bin/bugs/buglist.php Complete To Do list for CPN Tools.
The entries in the Features list should be a simple descriptions of a new ideas for features, and they should be kept short and precise. Additional information, such as technical explanatations and detailed design proposals, should be added as wiki-pages somewhere under cpn2000, and links to the wiki-pages can be added to the corresponding items in the http://www.daimi.au.dk/~cpntools/bin/bugs/features.php Features list.
Items that have Type “Feature Enhancement” are expected to be relatively small items that should not require much time to design or implement. Feature Enhancements will regularly become available in pre-releases and internal versions of CPN Tools. An example of a Feature Enhancement is http://www.daimi.au.dk/~cpntools/bin/bugs/viewdetails.php?bugsid=963 adding an entry for an existing tool to a marking menu.
Items that have Type “New Feature” are much larger projects that will take much more time to design and implement. New Features will only occasionally become available in releases and pre-releases of CPN Tools. An example of a New Feature is http://www.daimi.au.dk/~cpntools/bin/bugs/viewdetails.php?bugsid=968 adding support for graphical animation.
